Today however, as necessity is the mother of invention, the focus on making this a mainstream reality has narrowed to an aggressive focus. The hydrogen generator works on an age old process called electrolysis. Electrolysis is the conversion of water into its basic components – hydrogen and oxygen. This is done by sending electricity through specially designed pieces of metal suspended in water. The tension caused by the electricity causes the molecules to separate. The result is the production of pure oxygen and hydrogen. Gas bubbles then rise into a collection container. From there the gas vapors travel through a tube that goes to where the car can **** in this hydrogen before it is directed into the engine.
