If you enjoy the game of golf, then you are probably always on the lookout for ways to improve your golf swing. The same is true for professional players because they’re constantly working on their swings, form, putting, driving, and on and on. Luckily there are all sorts of things that you can do to make sure that your swing is good. You hopefully already have realized that there is a great deal more involved than hitting the ball with as much power as possible. There are things you can do to improve your accuracy as well. So, weekend warrior of the green – here are three excellent (we think) golf swing tips you can steal and use.best mortgage deals best mortgage deal mortgage deals}
It is patently untrue that you must hit harder when swinging into the wind. Hitting hard into the wind tends to make the ball go higher, and it can also produce spin on it which you also do not want. All that means is you’ll lose control and accuracy of the ball. So what you then will do is move the ball back toward your stance just a little, a few inches or so. Make sure to keep your hands forward. So for your club in this situation, you’ll want to use one that is longer than usual. Then just hit the ball like normal without hitting harder. By all means practice this technique, and you will begin to experience more control and accuracy. The best approach to hitting the ball is called ‘down and through.’ As the club lifts, if you hit through, then the ball will naturally rise due to the club lift. The classic mistake that results in top hitting and missed balls is by trying to produce an upswing thinking that will make the ball rise. That is a mistaken approach to hitting and always avoid doing it. Hitting it the wrong way like that will produce little distance plus some height – that is if you actually hit the ball. You can also produce that magic effect of making the ball look like a rocket that goes straight up, and then straight down – unimpressive.
Swing easier when it’s windy. We discussed windy conditions, but again if you hit too hard your trajectory will really suffer from it. Here’s a little mnemonic device created by Mr. Greg Norman; always “swing easy into the breezy.” We do understand that it can be intuitive to think you need more power when hitting into the breezy. There are lots of times when things must be done that seem counter-intuitive. When you swing easier, you’ll find that your control is much better. So don’t let the wind trick you into ruining your game!
Getting your golf swing under control really isn’t any worse than practicing core balance techniques including posture. These easy techniques help ensure maximum efficiency on the ball when contact is made. It helps you ensure accuracy and that the ball will go as far as you want it to go. There are alot of people who believe improving your golf swing is hard. Just as with most other things it simply only takes practice. Don’t give up too soon, your practice will eventually make perfect.
